From now until March 31st, homeowners can dispute their appraisal value and potentially reduce their tax liability.

You can use this database to see if your taxes are scheduled to go up:

http://www.cleveland.com/datacentral/index.ssf/2014/07/summit_county_tax_man_is_sets.html

If you think your property taxes are not based on the current fair market value of your home, give me a call. I can provide a Comparable Market Analysis which you can take to Summit County and defend your value.

2014 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.

Here's an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,500 times in 2014. If it were a cable car, it would take about 25 trips to carry that many people.

The Maloney Team of RE/MAX Haven Realty is sponsoring a food drive in conjunction with the Akron Canton Regional Food Bank. This weekend bags with flyers will be distributed to each home in The Steeplechase. You can fill your bag, and bags will be picked up on 11-20-14 and delivered to the food bank on 11-21-14. You may also leave your donation in the bin at 75 Cheltenham Lane. Please check expiration dates – no expired items will be accepted.

Thank you for your generosity!

FOOD VERSUS FUNDS

The Foodbank can make a big impact against hunger with financial
donations. For every $1 that you donate, the Foodbank can provide four
meals for the hungry! The Foodbank welcomes all food donations, but asks
you to consider making a financial contribution that can go even further to
help feed those in need.

Make a donation online here: http://www.akroncantonfoodbank.org/donate-money

THE SUPER SIX
The Super Six most needed food items are: boxed cereal, peanut butter,
canned tuna, canned vegetables, canned beef stew and canned soup.
Canned meats like salmon, spam, ham and chicken, and canned meals like
stew and chili also make great donations.
